The video 'Practice for young artist takes the form of an eighties' arcade game.
Scenario / Game rules : a famous artist of the 20th century must enter the museum. Gameplay - all elements that make the experience fun. Representation of a Pong game (breakout) with dynamic graphics codes of the first video games : pictograms, vivid colors, jingle synthesis. Each part combines an example of iconic artistic approach - Duchamp, Pollock or Rauschenberg ... - with the mechanical and repetitive gestures of player : move, browse, assemble ...

Today the references of works in the Western art history that are made by young artists from various international scenes are innumerable. Is it a matter of a reflection on the concept of work and its heritage or the immoderate adhesion to a style, a radical or neo-conceptual dressing of the form? In a broader perspective, this video offers to reconsider the creation issued of non-Western art scenes. Where the modernity did not have the same stakes in the West, it would not be such a matter of the recovery or the quoting of the famous artists of the 20th century, European or American, than the assimilation of a set of gestures, a Western habitus.
